Visiting The Food pantry at St. Thomas

HOURS OF OPERATION: Every Friday 3PM-5PM

Open 50 Fridays a year. Closed the day after Thanksgiving and the Friday after Christmas.

Comida de Vida/Food of Life operates every Friday from 3PM-5PM.  Every guest will receive a bag containing enough groceries for nine meals (three days).  The selection of food changes every week but always includes protein, fresh vegetables, fruit, canned and boxed shelf stable food.

This year, in order to keep our guests and volunteers safe during the Covid-19 pandemic, we distribute in a drive through model.

What to do when you arrive at St. Thomas:
Turn into the parking lot where you will see signs and people showing you where to drive. Please remain in your car!  A food pantry volunteer wearing a mask will come to your car and ask you to fill out a simple form letting us know your name, the size of your family, whether you have any food allergies, and how to get in touch if we have a change of schedule or need to contact you about COVID issues.

After completing the form and/or checking in, you’ll need to wait for the grocery packers to complete your order.  They will then let you know when they are ready for you to pick up your groceries.  Drive up to the pick up porch, please put on a mask, exit your car and come to the table to get your groceries.

We disinfect the table after every guest to help keep everyone safe.

Location: We are located at 40 Leedsville Rd.  Amenia NY 12501  In the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Parking lot.

Who is welcome at the Food  Food Pantry:  Everyone is welcome!  If you need food then please come. If you are unable to come to the pantry during our Friday open hours then please call St. Thomas at 845-373-9161 and leave a message.  Someone will return your call and we can work to figure out a solution.
